I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Adams State University and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center. For over 20 years, I have worked in healthcare and the human services field. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, residential facilities, and inpatient clinics. I also served in Peace Corps Mongolia where I worked at The Adolescent Future Center, an agency dedicated to advocating for mental health youth services.
My therapeutic style is a collaborative, compassionate, and direct approach. I believe the relationship between client and therapist is a unique partnership in which we work together to find the best pathway toward healing. My passion is in assisting others in developing long-lasting change, self-realization, and resiliency. I have additional training in Synergetic Play Therapy, Adlerian Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my new puppy Bristol! I love learning and make time to enhance my own personal growth. I also like to ski, dance, and listen to podcasts.
