I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver. I enjoy doing puzzles, reading, being in sunshine, and love animals. I’m originally from Idaho and am thrilled to have the mountains nearby while having all four seasons!
I have experience in general mental health issues as well as complex trauma, grief and loss, non-violent communication, stress management, schizophrenia, and relational stress. I’ve enjoyed my experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, group, and family therapy. I value addressing trauma and how a person has been affected by trauma in order to find healing and stability in one’s mental health. For this reason, I have been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and use this approach to target and process traumatic events and feelings. I also use the models of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy to create an opportunity for healing and healthy progress. I am a Client-centered therapist and believe that each person has unique experiences and insights and therefore deserves individualized care.
