I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. I was born and raised in Norway and moved to the United States in 2016 in pursuit of an education in Psychology. I speak English and Norwegian fluently, and I am proficient in Danish and Swedish as well.
At Children’s Wellness Center of Colorado, I seek to work with adults, adolescents and children ages 5 and up. My treatment approach is influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), resulting in a humanistic approach to trauma informed treatment. I am additionally trained in and pursuing certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and facilitate a group on healthy relationships for teens.
In my free time I enjoy reading books, going on hikes, and spending quality time with my loved ones and pets.
