I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with a Master’s of Arts in International Disaster Psychology from the University of Denver. I have been able to work with a variety of ages regarding challenges connected to trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. I have experience working with children who have been diagnosed with ASD, as well as working with developmental delays.
I believe therapy is about creating an accepting, safe environment where individuals are able to learn about themselves and grow toward their goals. I take a client-centered approach to working with clients while incorporating CBT, DBT, and other interventions to allow for trauma-informed, culturally-appropriate care. I often incorporate play therapy when working with children and have trained in Synergetic Play Therapy. In my free time I enjoy baking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
